A Day in Fulton Market: Love, Laughter, & a Little Bit of Pizza

One of my favorite parts of working with couples is that every love story feels different — & my job is to capture the beauty in all those little, natural moments that make your story yours.

When you book your wedding with me, I always include an engagement session. Why? Because getting some time in front of the camera before the big day is so important. It’s not just about the photos (though, trust me, they’re worth it). It’s about getting comfortable, building trust, and making the experience fun — not forced. The more natural you feel with me now, the more your wedding day photos will reflect who you really are.

Sam & Mia’s engagement session was the perfect example of this.

After capturing their beautiful proposal,

we wanted a session that really told their story.

So we headed to Fulton Market — where they had one of their very first dates. (A food tour around the neighborhood, naturally. Soulmates & fellow foodies.)

We wandered the streets, soaking in the corners, the cobblestones, & the electric city energy. We stopped into Lyra, where they ordered their signature drinks & laughed over memories. We popped into Milk Bar for ice cream (because what’s more joyful than that?) & explored the Trivoli Tavern cobblestone corner — a not-so-secret, but absolutely magical, spot.

& then? We found ourselves grabbing pizza from Prince Street, balancing it on top of a trash can because… well, sometimes life is imperfect. & that’s the best part.

It’s about embracing all the little, messy, ordinary, extraordinary moments in between.
It’s the street corners and the sticky ice cream fingers & the sidewalk laughs & the pizza-on-a-trash-can nights.

And honestly? That’s the story I want to tell for every couple I photograph.
Real. Raw. Beautiful in every way.

Sam & Mia, you are pure magic — & I cannot wait to keep telling your story.
